Welsh Rarebit

Method

1. Preheat the grill, and have a baking tray ready.

2. Put the sourdough in the toaster and toast until the crusts become crispy. 

3. Place the cheese in a bowl, followed by the egg whites, and milk 

4. Stir the mixture.

5. Add in the Whole Grain Mustard (or english mustard if you prefer), worcester sauce. 

6. Mix again, making sure the cheese is covered with the mustard & worcester sauce.

7. Spoon the mixture evenly over the two slices of lightly toasted sourdough.

8. Place in the grill and cook for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted (turned a golden colour), and it starts to bubble on top.

9. Take the Rarebit out of the grill and enjoy.

Ingredients

80g Eatlean Protein Cheese (grated)

2 Slices Sourdough Bread (I used Co-op’s)

1 TBSP Semi Skimmed Milk

50g Egg Whites

2 TSP Whole Grain Mustard

1 TBSP Worcester Sauce
